Expression of Interest are invited for Understanding Y Risk Factors Driving Early Marriage and High Adolescent Fertility Rates in Lao PDR. Publication Date: 09-Mar-2022 Expression of Interest Deadline: 16-Mar-2022 World Bank (WB) financing in Lao PDR covers a range of sectors with the potential to address this development challenge in a multi-sectoral way. Given what we know about the types of interventions that are effective to address early marriage and adolescent fertility and the current operational entry points in the WB portfolio, the objective of this consultancy will be to conduct a deep dive on how: (i) Social norms are driving decisions around early marriage and adolescent fertility among particularly vulnerable non-Lao Tai groups Austro-Asiatic, Hmong-lumien and Sino-Tibetan groups; and (ii)What are the risk/protective factors underpinning current trends in early marriage and adolescent fertility that can be minimized/reinforced through the WB's operational engagement with the Government of Laos
